The biggest problem of top heavyweights is inactivity or bad activity

They spend years doing nothing or fighting very low level opposition while waiting on big fights. When they lose the big fight, everybody feels like they are done, because they don`t get or take another big fight sooner than in 2 years.

Just look at the last years of Wilder, Fury, Ruiz, Hrgovic, Hunter..

Wilder hasn`t done sh.it since losing to Fury in october 2021. he smashed his friend Helenius in one round and than decided to sit on his ass waiting to get beaten by Parker.

Fury spent two years fighting Chisora and Ngannou.

Ruiz has fought twice since losing to Joshua in 2019. his career is pretty much over.

Hrgovic has fought bums only since beating Zhang in 2022 in a close fight. He MUST beat Dubois now, otherwise he will probably spend another 2 years fighting nobodies.

Hunter has done like nothing since that draw against Povetkin many years ago. he made some money fighting nobodies, but this is it.

Joshua and Parker are doing right. The right activity is the key.

Fury, Joshua, Ruiz, Wilder, Parker have all held belts though, roughly all at the same time, its the sanctioning bodies that hold promoters to ransom and screw around with mandatory/interim/regular bs. The promoters want to make as much money as possible too, so they need the prestige of having a belt on the line. A long **** circle jerk

That is bad excuse. How can Zhang fight Hrgovic, Joyce 2x, parker, Wilder back to back? why doesn`t Ruiz or Wilder have the same level of activity?

Someone mentioned PPVs in another thread, I have no idea what the Chinese audience was or if Zhang is even a megastar there, but the market there is clearly more lucrative or potentially so.

Interest in Wilder has waned since Fury spanked him x3. No one remembers who Ruiz is. No casuals know who Hrgovic is.

        That's my only explanation
