      Because he got totally outboxed, fully outclassed and completely destroyed by a Russian. PS And now he still has it? And is going to last more than 4 rounds against Benevidez?

        No idea how he'll do vs Benavidez. Probably get KO'd. I never said he still has it.

        Also if you watch the fight, he won the first half of the fight, and then he totally gassed out.

        To me, salty = claiming to have been robbed, demanding a rematch, etc.

        Retiring is a sign that he accepted he was done and was beaten by someone better and that he could do no more in boxing.

        Coming back is just his job. He's trying to earn some money again.​

          He gased out because it took everything he had just to be sort of competitive for half the fight. Salty also means bitter and resentful. But honestly, he knows he's not really coming back, so this is his last chance at a decent payday, thus the willingness to get KOeD.
