Why didn't Joshua ever throw those huge right hand bombs against Usyk like he did Ngannou?

Imo, in both fights, AJ was trying to be too cute vs Usyk. He was trying to outbox Usyk for whatever reason. A master boxer. He may have been gunshy or something.

AJ doesn’t have the stamina to go all out for a KO, he can and has punched himself out. But he didn’t have the skills to outbox Usyk either. He was kind of stuck in no man’s land in those fights.

So what do you do? Try to pressure and KO Usyk with big bombs, fail, punch yourself out and get KO’ed. Or try to outbox Usyk, fail, and lose a decision? What we saw was probably the best case scenario for AJ. He fought a good fight, got close losing scores on 2 scorecards, and won on another scorecard.

He may have a better chance vs an older Usyk though. He won’t be fighting a prime Usyk, but he can at least claim 1 win out of 3 and argue that he won one or that they should be 1-1-1.
