  • Comments Thread For: Anthony Joshua Ready To Fight Anyone Says Eddie Hearn

What most would have considered a front row seat to history was little more than a vantage point for Anthony Joshua. On Saturday night, the two-time unified heavyweight champion sat at ringside and paid close attention as his former opponent, Oleksandr Usyk, outfought Tyson Fury down the stretch to become the first undisputed heavyweight champion in a quarter of a century.

Doesn't matter if he's still mooing,
so long as the promotional farmhouse can keep milking.
And it looks like they will.

Yes 100% I like AJ because he fights more top guys than Wilder and Fury but he still wouldn't be willing to fight anyone. It has to make sense. Hrogivc is the route to the title

This is a personal opinion that the British have a deep-rooted dislike for the Gypsy Community, Fury was never given any real hope of winning against Klitschko. He pulled of a shocker, combined with his personality and his big mouth. He's won the World title twice, and twice they gave chosen NOT to give him their coveted British Sports Personality.
They even brought Klitschko back who hadn't fought for 2yrs that almost backfired, AJ won the title from Martin who was handed the title, never fully unified constantly avoiding Wilder, it was Fury who made a comeback took on and beat Wilder. The will keep AJ away from Fury. The know AJ cannot win.

I think if Wilder KOs Zhang and looks good doing it then we'll see Joshua vs Wilder at Wembley Stadium in September. That's the whole reason Eddie signed Wilder for the 5 v 5 on a fight by fight basis. It's the fight the Saudis wanted after Day of Reckoning and why they were on the same bill that night until Parker upset the apple cart. If Wilder KOs Zhang (and that's still a big IF) then the long-awaited fight with AJ is a bigger fight and will draw more money from the Saudis, more global media attention, and more PPV buys and ticket sales, than AJ vs Hrgovic or Dubois. I think it will only be if Zhang KOs or outpoints Wilder, that we'll see AJ go down the IBF route and fight the Hrgovic-Dubois winner at Wembley. Longer term, I suspect they plan to do both of course - KO wilder in September and fight for the IBF in December then face the Usyk-Fury II winner in spring 2025.

AJ is hungry. I think we are going to look back at him and recognize that he improved from his losses to Ruiz and Usyk.

Nothing to do with being a gypsy. They didn’t award it to Fury the first time around because he’d made ****phobic and ***ist comments thay caused a public backlash at the time, saying that only place for women was in the kitchen and on their backs. He subsequently threatened to sue the BBC if he was put up for further SPOTY awards and that was that.

The rest of what you’ve written is similar nonsense - everyone knows Wilder was on record saying that he turned down more money to face AJ in his choice to fight Fury, while an AJ vs Fury fight was signed and sealed for August 2021 before it got derailed by Wilder’s arbitration to force a trilogy fight:

What do you get out of posting such blatant BS on a public forum and looking ******?

AJ always says the same thing. "He’s ready to fight anybody. He’d love to fight Usyk again. He’d love to fight Tyson Fury. He’s happy to fight Hrgovic. He’s happy to fight Dubois. Happy to fight Parker, Wilder. Any of them", but ended up with top 30 Franklin and top 40 Helenius who fought a week before. There are the tops, he can call any of them - I doubt a hungry one will reject.
