They need another weight division at 230 lbs or so. How is it fair for a 230 lb fighter to fight a guy 30-40 lbs heavier? They make a big deal if lower-weight fighters miss the weight by a few lbs, but as it is now a heavyweight at 200 lbs could have to fight a guy 280-300 lbs? Very dumb! By the way, Usyk was deprived of a KO when the ref stopped the action.

And what has Wilder accomplished of late? For all his knockouts he has beaten just two Ring-rated HWs out of 44 opponents, got stopped by Fury twice, and completely white-washed by Parker. Ultimately he has lost three of his last four and is ranked no higher than 7th by the Ring, TBRB, ESPN and other comparable publications.

The OP is right..Wilder shouldn’t be in the conversation at all unless he somehow avenges his defeat against Parker and then beats AJ, as was the original plan to leave himself waiting in line, or goes through everyone else (Zhang, Hrgovic, Kabayel etc.) like Parker is currently doing.

Beating Zhang alone, who himself is coming off a loss against Parker, changes almost nothing. The fact Turki plans to match him against Jared Anderson should he get through Zhang tells you as much.

Looking back at the replay, it seems like he did try at least once at the beginning of the combo but Usyk slipped away and didn't let him clinch/hug!

Because he was out, he didn't know where he was.

It’s okay, Dubois was deprived of a KO when he dropped Usyk from a legal body shot and the ref stopped the action as well.

Yeah I thought he was gonna do what Wlad did to Povetkin. Usyk was exhausted from round 4, if he had Fury on top of him he’d be barely standing by 12.

Though I’m eternally grateful that wasn’t what we watched.

Only thing that makes sense now is Fury/Joshua ... Then one of them can talk "Usyk" ...

Look like his punch resistance is gone.

I was wondering about that too.

When that first big left landed his eyes changed.

Has there ever been a southpaw vs. southpaw heavy championship?
