I'm gonna straight clown on these people that are saying that Dawson is easily gonna beat Johnson if he loses the fight or gets another gift decision. The slowed down version of Glen Johnson that whipped Dawson in their first fight makes me think the full-fledged version that KOd Roy Jones and beat Tarver in the first fight would've killed Dawson. I usually don't agree with Kellerman about certain fighters, but he made a good analysis when he referred to Dawson as a B-level fighter in a C-level division. That's taking credit away from Johnson if he happens to beat Dawson, but as much of a Johnson fan as I am I don't view him as the guy that is at the very top of the mountain. I think Hopkins would beat him again if that rematch ever happened.

And I will be clowning on you if Dawson beats Johnson convincingly which I'm 90% sure will happen. Dawson is pretty much angry, angry because there is people who doubt he won the first match, this will only make him more determined to shut the doubters up once and for all. As for the Johnson that beat Roy and got a GIFT decision against Tarver, well Dawson is improving as a boxer, he still hasn't hit his physical prime yet, although you'll see him at his best on November 7.

Also Dawson is like a -300 favorite despite the first fight being very close. Las Vegas hasn't been wrong on Dawson so far.

I thought Tarver won the second fight with Johnson fair and square, but I don't understand why people had Tarver winning their first fight. He was on the back foot and his punches had no leverage at all. Johnson was pounding his body and pressing the action landing effective punches. I'd have to watch that fight again to see if my opinion would ever change though, because it's been a long time since I've seen it.

Tarver beat Johnson the first fight. Dawson beats Johnson easier this time. For all I know Bute could be whooping Johnson ass in sparring everyday.

              Agreed.

I thought the first fight could have gone either way but Johnson did enough t owin.

But to hear Glen Johnson tell it, his was the last name on the guest list.

“This is not the fight Dawson wanted,” the affable 40-year-old said. “He was pushed into it by HBO. They gave him two names – Bernard Hopkins and Glen Johnson – and we all know Bernard doesn’t want to fight anyone these days. So that left them with me.

“And after they realized I wasn’t going to make it difficult to get the thing done, they turned it around to sell it like it was the fight they wanted all along. They can say that, but I know how it works and I know the truth. He didn’t want me.”

Such is the tenor of conversation with Johnson whenever Dawson is the topic.

The two met for the first time 18 months ago in Tampa, where Dawson retained his WBC light heavyweight championship for the third time with a controversial unanimous decision that was greeted with jeers from the St. Pete Times Forum crowd. [details]
i just want one of them to win convincingly.

Tarver won the first fight more convincingly than the second fight, that was a straight up robbery. Tarver barley squeaked by Johnson in the second match although he won convincingly too.
