Juanma Lopez's last performance really beffudles me...

I mean the boy have been dominating opponents better than Mtagwa. Not that Mtagwa is really that tough as he'd been KTFOed before by lesser guys. Lopez looked like **** in there for the first time and it's really confusing.

    everybody has their off nights.

name me one great fighter who didn't have a tough fight with someone they were suppose to beat easily at the start of their young careers.

    these things happen.

Hasn't he only been K.O'd twice. What I don't understand is, instead of talking about how bad Juanma did...Why no credit for Mtagwa?

People are seriously overrating Mtagwa now. He's getting plenty of love, bro.

          Mr Green said it all.

All good young fighters struggle with atleast one bum early in their career. It happens. He handled that bad situation pretty well though since he stayed on his feet and won.

i dunno what it was... lopez looked very slow and he looked sluggish. not only that, but his technique was not great. his punches were loopy and wide and his stamina was not up to par like in the penalosa fight.

this was a disappointing performance by JML.

the only good thing is, JML has a good chin and is tough... that's the only compliment i can give to JML in this fight.

also his defense was pretty bad... worst than cotto's.

                people are crazy.

the guy blows out people in the 1st round and he's fighting no one.

now they're hyping up some guy who is not much better than the guys juanma blew out in 1.

everybody has off nights. these things happened. the point is juanma never quit and he still got the w.

i wouldn't be surprised if he knocks mtagwa out if they ever rematch.

Mtagwa deserves a lot of credit for being one of the amazingly toughest fighters out there. He doesn't necessarily have a granite chin and he has been stopped with body punches before, but he'll keep fighting for as long as he can.

Lopez clearly made a lot of mistakes against Mtagwa, and at times brawled while leaving himself wide open. He has been overhyped because in truth he hasn't shown anything but punching power so far in his career. It didn't work against Mtagwa and it won't work against a lot of other people. He has to work on his boxing skills now but it won't be possible if he keeps fighting overmatched opposition. You learn nothing from that.
