Abraham vs Taylor: Jermain Already at Fight Weight

I got Abraham. If I'm wrong, I'll gladly be wrong because I used to be a big Taylor fan and I still like him sorta.

He had a lot of troubles during his career... Lets hope he`s not getting into another one. Getting into a fighting weight a week before the fight can mean two things:
1 Without any doubt, his mental state and physical state are the one of the winner!
2 He can overtrain and be in the worst shape of his lifetime on the fight night...

well pointed out Alar - there always two sides to a coin.

when i intially heard that JT was already on the weight i was slightly surprised and thought that he may be overtraining, in fact if a fighter is on the weight a week before the fight he is overtraining. why not save it for the fight night.

the other way of looking at it is like this, JT has realized he is a small SMW and one that should be aiming to come in lean and ripped. if he comes in at 165/166 thats the ideal weight for him, some might say he forfeits the size and strength advantages.

however by coming in at a lean weight (like he was at MW) then he will be that little bit lighter on his feet and more mobile. and its the mobility and quickness that JT needs to beat AA not strength or weight.

****. Too early for that, I definitely think he overtrained.

He said in the Showtime show that his doctors told him he's been losing the weight too fast.

Hopefully its true that he's just a small SMW, but part of me feels like he has already peaked.

It's all about stamina isn't it?

Part of me still thinks Taylor can win the whole thing, another part tells me the stamina will be a problem.

I think he can win this fight against Abraham, because AA is a very conservative fighter. He loves the turtle shell and attacking sporadically, although we don't know if that was only because he was drained at 160. Many questions, part of why this fight is so intriguing.
