Benavidez has to beat a couple name fighters and then he'll generate enough buys to warrant a Canelo fight.

This is what happens over and voer in boxing. Goes back to Joe Louis, continues through Sonny Liston and Ali, right through Sugar Ray, Hearns, Duren, and Hagler. The fights eventually get made when the money is right or close to right. Do people forget Oscar waiting for guys to get big enough to fight him? Mayweather too? And that's just the business side of things, there are also egos and strong personalities at play.

People seem to forget we waited years for A Leonard Hearns rematch. Pacquaio waited years to give Marquez his rematches. It goes on and on, this is the nora,ml part of boxing. Canelo calling Benavidez into the ring after the fight Saturday is a good sign it's getting close to being the right time money wise. Benavidez missed a chance, he enters the ring and that's the matchup the general public starts getting ready for.

As for Canelo vs Munguai. That was an action packed fight and fun t watch. I can't believe that so few fans here are talking about how Canelo appears to finally have put his stamina issues behind him. He was active the entire fight and even in the late rounds was ready to trade for whole rounds. Was a good performance for him against a skilled guy. He's not at his peak physically anymore and is easier to hit, but he's at his peak mentally and his stamina is the best it's ever been.
        - - Now JohnyBoy, U memory stuck in the muddle of U mud.

Aram offered BALCO Juan the immediate rematch for a record purse, $700K. BALCO Juan, reputedly trained as an accountant before boxing as muddled as U fought slugs for pennies and was stripped of his belt. Then he flies to Indonesia to get embarrassed by Chris John for $25 K...Ouchie...yup...
