If only Benavidez knew that Clenbuteral builds muscle and cuts weight everything would have been cool....amiright?

      All fine and dandy
Now, if you can....Picture Nelo having Benny's resume complaining about not getting a title shot

Mind you, people hate Nelo despite having the best resume of all active fighters.

The area's which have challenged Alvarez the most stylistically are: Endurance, Movement, Elite level defense, and Gears. When you analyse Munguia and Benavidez, you will realize that they are not really elite level fighters in those crucial area's of their game.

Yes Mungia and Benavidez have solid level of Endurance 'But they don't have endurance on the level of Joe Calzaghe and Carl Froch'.

This fight in my opinion was good preparation for Alvarez 'For the potential fight with Benavidez'.

Note: Munguia and Benavidez are similar fighters stylistically 'Both fighters are extremely agressive, and have the ability to throw good punch combinations. But skill for skill they are not highly technical or sophisticated fighters'.

Every single era of boxing, seems to have fighters like Munguia and Benavidez 'Great fighters, solid competitors. But skill for skill, I would not rate them as complete fighters'.

Munguia and Benavidez stylistically directly confront Alvarez 'In the area's of boxing where he excels the most i.e Inside game and defense on attack'.

This why I have been stating for sometime, that David Benavidez stylistically is straight up Canelo Alvarez's street 'The match up is not a difficult fight for Alvarez to prepare, but it is for sure a potentially brutal fight'.

As people witnessed last night, Munguia vs Alvarez 'Was not a easy fight for Alvarez, but skill for skill? You could see the difference in the level of Alvarez's inside game and defense'.

Benavidez vs Alvarez 'Would be a more difficult fight for Alvarez, but stylistically I would expect the action to be very similar'.

If Canelo Alvarez is in solid form 'Benavidez will make the fight very competitive by directly confronting Alvarez in a aggressive fight. But Benavidez will in my opinion struggle to out score and win rounds consistently against Alvarez in that style if fight'.

Alvarez still have the form and level of performance currently right now as we speak to beat Benavidez etc.
Thanks, that's the most complete, well constructed point of view I've read and you might be correct. I thought I was correct picking Canelo to stop Bivol but that's not how it played out and that's why they fight the fights, it's the only way to know...and there lies the problem.

There is no past or future win for Benavidez, no money, no resume, no deserving, no position, no mandatory, it's not his nationality or harsh words it's Canelo, he hand picks everyone but. Canelo simply does not want to fight Benavidez and never wanted to fight Andrade and that is where the train goes off the tracks. You can't deny there is something about theses guys and more specifically Benavidez, that Canelo does not want to see in the ring at 168lbs. Munguia and Oscar yes, Berlanga likely, but Benavidez no, and that's when honest rational people have no choice but to default the most rational answer.

Thanks, that was special. Now put your pointy hat on, sit in the corner and STFU.

Wouldn't call either guy ''great'' though.
As with Mike Tyson, if your opps are weak, you are going to look unbeatable.

            Nelo will fight Benny
I feel he will beat Benny

Benny vs BooBoo was 50/50 !!!

              • Let's recap -

One unbiased, non Nelo hating fight fan said how Plant was holding on for dear life vs Benny the 2nd 1/2 of the fight.
I posted up the highlight clip SHOWING the exact opposite.

Another unbiased non hating Nelo fight fan screamed how Biv beat Nelo's azz the entire fight.
I posted up that highlight clip SHOWING the exact opposite.

Plenty of unbiased, non Nelo hating fight fans cried about Nelo picking on a no hoper
I posted up Benny's laughable resume and Munguia would walk through that shlt with ease !

Moral of the story. Boxing has the worst fans in all of sports
They are too emotional and hypocritical.
Prone to seeing shlt that never happened

                • Wow! Yes! That was a very entertaining fight! Munguia did well. Great win for Canelo and congratulations to him on remaining the Undisputed Super Middleweight Champion!

I agree with you about his resume, looks like ginger resume before he fought the face of boxing 10 years ago, he got the opportunity, but he is not been willing to do what it was given to him. Now imagine that old Mosley and Cotto didn't give him the opportunity and Floyd has said "Who he has fought"? Where he would be now? Common, it is not about resume, fear of losing his position and that's all. You can't refute what is happening now, and what has happened in the past.

yes... canelo shy away from the question and the crowd started booing then canelo came back and was like "if the money is right i'll fight him".
