Why are people asking for a fight with Benny ?

Plant grabbed & held Benavidez for dear life several times so he wouldn't get KO'd.

It would take a legit cruiserweight punch to hurt Canelo. Canelo is one tough bastard.

Benavidez doesn`t hit that hard. And he would be countered all night long. His defense sucks.

Canelo is good. Very good. I am not even so sure Beterbiev beats him. Not that old inactive injured version.

Benavidez would destroy Mungia in a few rounds. And Canelo in the late rounds. Mungia was touching up canelo a number of times but he does not hit as hard as Benavidez or have the overall ability. David would keep on lighting up Canelo non stop and finish him. That is why Canelo ducked him yet again in the post fight interview.

Man some of you are just the worst. Every win isn’t Hearns over Duran or Crawford over Spence.

                  Geez.

Canelo is still a very smart fighter..

I think his upper body and head movement has declined in the past few years. The agility isn't quite there anymore. You can catch him with jabs a lot more now and push him back.

I believe that's why he won't fight Benavidez. As the smaller man, agility is your best friend. Once that's in decline, size becomes an even bigger factor. Canelo has already acknowledged Benavidez' size is a factor, and I think the main reason he knows its a factor is simply because he's not as agile as he once was with the upper body defense and he has to stand and fight more.

Munguia wouldn't have the skills to win 4 or 5 rounds vs the Canelo of a few years ago. But Canelo's decline in agility allowed it. Its very evident why Canelo doesn't want to fight Benavidez, it's a horrible match up for him at this point and he knows it. That's why he wants obscene money, to be compensated for a pretty much inevitable loss.

Canelo wants to continue milking his gullible fan base with this farewell tour. Fighting Benavidez and getting stopped in front of his fans is something Canelo doesn’t want to experience. Viva Mexico cabrones
