I don't think that Valuev has an illness or deformity. He's just tall and with a "film star" visage. Modern man seems to have far more very tall people that when I was a kid.

Once, the vast majority of "giants" were deemed to have a disease called acromegaly, in which the brow, or chin, or some normal feature is much exaggerated.

Valuev seems to me, to be just normally tall. If hairy people sweat more, they'll smell more.........but of SWEAT, perspiration, that's all. Since I was once a determined athlete, and sweated a lot, SWEAT, in my opinion, and probably those of other athletes, DOES NOT STINK.

There IS however a medical condition which causes body odour, and there is treatment for it.

As a matter of fact, if Valuev actually DOES stink, which I doubt, it's a good idea for him to leave it that way, to upset his opponent, and make him less inclined to come to close quarters.

As for Haye, I think he has a nasty tongue, is definitely NOT funny, and as has been suggested here, sounds like an early puberty, badly brought up, schoolboy.

If Haye loses, I wonder what excuse he'll make, perhaps his nasty comments are a preparation in case of losing.

During a Monday press conference in London, David Haye went on a rampage with a verbal assault on WBA heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev. Haye challenges Valuev on November 7. Haye said that he plans to keep making fun of Valuev to drive the champion crazy. He wants Valuev to make mistakes by "fighting angry" in the ring. [details]

In fact, If Valuev allows himself to becoime "annoyed" as Haye seems to want, it can only make Valuev more "active", and, since one of his flaws is that he can be very "lethargic" this may not be good for his "annoying' opponent.

At any rate, Valuev seems to be extrmely even-tempered, and not likely to allow himself to become annoyed.

We'll have to wait and see!

Im from the UK and do not agree with the level of abuse coming from David Haye. He does talk some crap. I agree with trash talking to sell a fight but I think Haye has gone way too personal.

To be fair though - its made me want to watch the fight more!

Thats a fair comment T3dBundy - I always viewed Valuev as a bit of a joke HW champion (the WBA dont seem to help much either) but Hayes trash talking has me psyched for this! I would rather Haye got knocked down a peg or two but on the flipside - I would like to see how Valuev copes with some big shots...if Haye can land em!
