  • Comments Thread For: Haney Says Garcia 'Could Have Done Some Real Dangerous Things To Me', No Longer Pursuing Rematch

WBC super-lightweight champion Devin Haney (31-1, 15 KOs) is no longer interested in a rematch with Ryan Garcia following the latter's recent drug test failures after their April 20 encounter at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

I don't even like Haney but I feel for him here. Getting beat up by a juiced guy, especially when you are a champ, can be very damaging in both physical and mental ways

Anyone who fights Garcia should demand a rehydration clause in the contract going forward. Make him work for it.

        Whilst Garcia did cheat

Haney is gonna run a mile forever form Garcia. That ass whooping he took must give him nightmares

you can just tell he’s been emotionally damaged by the beating and he was never going to rematch Garcia anyway

in terms of Garcia himself, he is very unhinged and clearly needs to be banned for a few years.

anyone in haneys position would say the same but you still have boxing fans mocking the man, fk that guy garcia, of course we still saw that dev needs work and has flaws but the whole build up to this fight and aftermath was a complete mess

Lying, crying Ryan was juiced to the gills, got hurt bad in the 3rd round, and still couldn't finish Haney. Dude sucks ass.

When they were standing ring center getting the referee's instructions, Ryan looked even bigger against Haney, then Haney looked against Prograis.
Haney is right about not pursuing the rematch after the PED's revelation, he should look to sue Ryan for all he can point blank, and period.
