  • Comments Thread For: Krassyuk Believes Fury vs. Usyk Will Be Determined By Mental Strength

Promoter Alex Krayssuk hopes Oleksandr Usyk's mental strength is the key attribute needed to dethrone WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and become undisputed champion later this month in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

If Fury wins I belive they will cry like the other cruiserweight Steve Cunningham cried.

"I'm from the hood, I'm from Philly, Philly strong, Fury ain't that big, he ain't that much bigger than me, he's only 6 foot 5, if he wants a street fight I'll show him Philly style"

That was Cunningham actual words before the fight

      After the fight it was

"Fury is a giant man, and he was fighting dirty in there, it wasn't fair"

Totally agree with Krassyuk’s take. The only reason Fury’s brawling tactics have worked is because he’s been employing them against washed-up guys who just wanted their paychecks and weren’t trying to win (Whyte, Chisora) and a guy who lacks the ring IQ to adjust to the tactic (Wilder, who still knocked Fury down twice in their last fight). Neither of those flaws apply to Usyk and I think he won’t have a problem putting physical and mental pressure on Fury.

Fury admitted in Rogan interview he cheated against Cunningham. He said :

The reason being he was very slippery, I couldn’t pin him down. He was light on his feet, weighing 208lbs, he was a cruiserweight champion and he stepped up into heavyweights.

“He was a slick, talented boxer and I tried to walk him down, use my size and power, but he was just outboxing me.

“What I’m good at – boxing, moving, slipping and sliding – I couldn’t do against Steve Cunningham because he was quicker than me.
Look at Cunningham's HW career. Now look at Usyk's. Fury is in big trouble. He needs to cheat, lean and grab hard to win this fight
