I disagree with this premise. The only reason this article exists is because Munguia is fighting Canelo. Once he gets beat pillar to post, this article will fade into obscurity and nobody will remember it.

The commission did the right thing stopping the fight. Munguia's defense is horrible now. It was even more horrible when he was 21. He was also 21, still growing into his body. You don't let inexperienced, come forward fighters from a lower division challenge hard hitting P4Pers who are bigger than them. The comparison to Floyd is absolute nonsense. Floyd was a smaller fighter, he was 40 years old, he was not a power puncher, and McGregor was not a 21 year old kid.

Munguia is a lamb getting taken to slaughter. He would not have been competitive against Golovkin, I personally think that current 42 year old Golovkin would destroy him. Canelo will toy with him for a few rounds until brutally pummeling him around the ring.
