When Floyd's the smart, mature one in the conversion...well that says a lot.

Could be wrong but sounded like bill talking like he holds it down for his people and being a father to his son and looked like Floyd couldn't handle that.eyes looked like he was hurting. Switching it up talking like he didn't understand the street talk, pocket watching, admitting the sparring outcome, snapping talking lights, and kids do what they want, then asks if devin needs help? Bills smiles at the end.

Bill continues to do any and everything to remain relevant.

Frankly, he should be begging Floyd to train Devin. Devin’s lack of power means he needs to fight like Floyd did once he was above 147.

Sadly, Bill prefers the minstrel show route.

There's nothing to suggest Floyd would make a good trainer. Great boxer ≠ great trainer.

I think he is perfect for Haney. I am not suggesting Floyd could or will become the next Steward or someone like that.

edit- Floyd’s father was a world class boxers that became a great trainer. His uncle was a world champion that became a great trainer.

I think Floyd would do well in a limited capacity.

I think if Garcia wants to pretend to know how to shoulder roll then he needs to learn from Mayweather. I was going for Garcia this fight, but if Haney had any type of power I think he would've KOd Garcia easily

Sure, great boxers can be great trainers but it's far from given. This generalises in sport. The amount of great soccer players who have failed hopelessly at being head coaches is very high. It requires a completely different set of skills.

Immediate problem I see for Floyd is his inability to leave his ego at the door. Regardless of who trains Devin though, Devin should be making that decision himself. Bill's done great to get him to this point, ideal time for a change in my opinion.

I think Floyd showed him more than just that.

Imo the first left hook changed the dynamic of the fight. Even if Haney had power, that hook made Ryan super confident while making Haney doubt if he could execute the plan his father had.

Also didn’t help his father kept telling him to duck under the hook instead of offering another defensive tactic.

I don’t disagree with you. Again, I think floyd would have success in a limited capacity.

The ego thing is something some people just run with and can’t let go. Floyd is a great athlete so of course he has an ego. But he provides solid info.

Like when he got on Tank that fight. People talking about his wanting to be in the spotlight when in fact he saw his guy losing and told him exactly what needed to he said.

Agreed. Devin needs to move on. Right time for a change. He needs a fresh start to rebuild himself back.
