i agree i didnt saw the fight live but when a read the newspaper and everyone telling how juanma was beat i said i have to see it but when i saw it well juanma beat this guy almost every round exept 11,12 and maybe he lost one other round but he clearly won and the problem was that he never has been in that situation he didnt recovered from the 11 round bu he got a good chin, anyone that hurt would have gone down
Juanma: "I Want Caballero, Top Rank Has Other Plans"

What I don't understand is why is everyone making so much fuzz about this Juanma?Caballero fight? Why? Because Caballero all of a sudden is saying that Juanma is scared simply because his unknown ass is a champion? Who the heck is this bum anyway? The time will come and I can guarantee you that when this bum fights against someone with a name, his ass will lose so ultimately we will never get to see this fight happen anyway. I don't have a doubt that Juanma will kick this bum's ass.
On another note, I am very happy that Juanma went through such a difficult fight, it's only going to make him a better fighter, he has to learn that not all the fights will be easy. With Gamboa, well, it is going to be the same thing, at some time someone will expose him, I have seen much better fighters look horrible in some fights, his time will also come....Comment

Both Juanma and Caballero have struggled against Journeyman. Funny how Gamboa has never struggled against any of his opponents and he wins like every round except for the few occasions he let his guard down and got caught but go right back up and beat his opponents to a pulp.
My whole point is that these two fighters(juanma and cab) are made for each other, Gamboa is better then both of them. Gamboa would beat the crap out of both of them.Comment

Top Rank are great at developing fighters, they know that Juanma needs more development before he's ready for guys of Caballero's caliber. But you never know what might happen if Juanma somehow gets matched with Caballero, Caballero is an erratic fighter, looks really good in one fight then looks very ordinary in the next.Comment

i have to say that im a big wilfredo gomez, felix trinidad & miguel cotto fan & even though im not making too much out of this fight by juanma i will say that im very disappointed in the way juanma has been representing us lately. a boricuas word id bond & 2 say hes gonna fight this caballero piece of sh.t thats been running his mouth & then back off & hide behind arum is very disappointing.
i still believe that his bad performance in the last 2 rounds of mtagwas fight was bad strategy by his corner & himself in what is a very young career on a very promising fighter that many are too hard on just cause of the hype. any other fighter & fans wouldnt be making such a big deal. but considering the whole caballero/juanma drama I dont see how he can just go on without taking on caballero first. specially after this last performance. i for one cant put him up as one of my favorite boricua fighters when hes showing a lack of heart. maybe hes just not ready yet & its our fault for hyping him too high to soon just cause of all his first round KO's but to me he still has a ways to go before he can climb to my list of favorites fighters & that means of disposing of caballero first. for such a talent to just completely forget his jab & his corner to just tell him to keep doing was he was doing without giving any real instructions was unbelievable. i know arum knows best but *** arum, this is about pride.Comment

Being legitimately knocked down by two opponents is not bad. Atleast he wasn't hanging off the ropes like Lopez was in the 12th round. Lopez held onto the ropes a couple of times in the 12th. Gamboa wasn't even hurt from his knockdowns, Lopez was about to die in the ring in the 12th struggling and holding onto the ropes.Comment

Arum is not gonna risk Juama and is gonna try to convince him that to make money and build him fighting stiffs. HBO is interested in Gamboa and Juama, down the line the fight will generate a lot of money. Juama might demand the fight since in PR he is getting a lot of pressure to fight Caballero.
Caballero against Juama has to be madeComment

what i really wanna know is WTF was arum thinking when he matched him up against a guy with 12 losses? theres no win win here. u win u beat a bum, u lose u can kiss everything goodbye. u win ugly,& everyones gonna be on ur ass. this is what happens when u average about 2 rounds per pro fight= not that much pro experience. he needs a better corner, to move up in weight so he doesnt have any more problems making weight & a little more experience before we start hyping him again. maybe im just mad & disappointed but i have to keep it real...i still think that he can beat caballero with ease, but his complete ring smart aint there yet.Comment
