Might help? The point is it DOES help, that's why fighters demand it. How much exactly is impossible to say but it was a handicap which tainted his win. That is why handicapping sucks.Comment

It may help but not necessarily.
Nothing about how the fight played out leads me to believe the result would have been different in a weigh in whatever fight between the two.Comment

No, it does not appear it did.
It seemed like a security measure Tank wanted just in case but didn't play a factor since Garcia did try and impose himself physically but it backfired.Comment

Ok
So the answer is YES
Wow all that back and forth for a simple fughin YES
Life goes on brother just ask Regis , Loma etc etcComment

For the record, I'm not a big fan of weight stips or catch weights. All fights should be at designated weight limits and if you make the official weight what you come in after is well within the rules and fair game so "weight bullies" are not a thing as far as I am concerned.Comment

All good

I just have a hard time believing any fughin human can rehydrate 26 pounds in one night
Just one of many examples of yeah he made weight
I guarantee you that Ryan would of rehydrated the usual 12 to 18 without the rehyprotection Davis instilled
Is that what you mean ?Comment

I mean, we have a uniform standard that works just fine, weight class limits which have to be made a day before the fight and the rules state nothing about packing on a couple dozen lbs after you step off the scale. Some of these guys though, come up with these contracts with all kinds of stips leveraging their position in boxing then we have people questioning the credibility of wins. It doesn't help boxing operate more like a real sport unless everything regarding rules is standard for everyone.
