Why are alot of arenas called the O2 arena??

There is one in Ireland, and I believe one in Britain and I think where Taylor and Abraham are fighting is also called the O2. Why is this?

o2 the phone network provider. sponsor all these arena's thus giving them the name the o2 ''wherever the place is''
once they spot paying the money someone else will take over and they will be renamed after that sponsor.
