While it does help to promote the fight, it's also just that Devin is a d**k.

I suppose he does it to act tough, but someone should remind him that nobody's scared of a guy who can't crack an egg. The Loma push in particular reeked of nerves and insecurity to me.

Definitely a sign of weakness imo

You can promote with your mouth. A shove can turn into a brawl and lead to fight cancelling injuries or arrests.

The shove against Lomachenko sapped all his strength and power for fight night. Loma bullied him in the clinches easily. His wrestling tactics didn’t work that night:

Hell a fight postponement cuz of a face off shove injury, which is super super rare lets be honest, is gonna go even more viral & make the fight bigger when it does happen.

To us fans this is a sport, to boxers this is a job & business. I think fans fail to see things for what they are from the boxers pov far too often to make sense of some of the moves they make.

Or its just a successful attempt at going viral.

I wouldn't even be surprised if this was discussed between the fighters before it happened.

Can't overthink a lot of this attention getting sh^t imo. Everything these days is about cultivating attention & both of these guys know it, Ryan moreso than Devin.

Maybe , I wouldn’t be surprised but was told from someone part of the scene , that the hate is real
