Comments Thread For: The Time Is Now For Bud vs. Boots, It Makes Sense
Terence "Bud" Crawford was six years old when Green Day's seminal '90s pop-punk album Dookie came out. Jaron "Boots" Ennis was still three years from being born.

Idk I'm ok with bud going after the wbo at 154. I think he put a very succinct bow on who is the best ww of his generation. I'd be ****ing for a boots fight a little more if boots had some better wins under his belt...be that boxing politics and/or his own team.
But I truly appreciate an old punk song being used as a boxing descriptor lol
I've always been a fan of Bud the fighter ever since the olympics but I can't stand 3B - Bad Biz Bud. 36 years old and he's still playing politics. His only true option is to sign with PBC where his last career fights are from 147-168. If he goes the other route and chases the non PBC fights with the fraky Sheiki guy then it's going to be 2018 all over again when he resigned with Top Rank where he avoided all his natural competition to fight B level Euros for guaranteed wages and in a few years we will hear the Sheik say "I could have bought a house in Beverly Hills with all the money I lost of Crawford"...SMH

Yea I agree at this stage of his career he has the right to skip a dangerous guy like Boots t fight the other champshis age but man that would be a great scrap. What if Bud signed with PBC in 2018 and already fought (and probably beat up) all the WWs he would now be the undisputed PPV king making those Floyd PPPVweather checks. Damn he really dropped the ball son!
As long as Crawford can comfortably make 147, Boots is probably the best fight that he can make. Ideally Canelo vs Charlo wouldn’t have happened as Crawford vs Charlo both being undisputed and just 1 weight class away would’ve been a great option for both. Right now 154 doesn’t seem as deep in terms of meaningful fights for Crawford.
The boxing pundit's say that this fight won't ever happen, and BlueBloodSports dropped a video yesterday.
He was stating that Crawford is in talks to fight Israil Madrimov for 2 of the 4 belts at 154, and that's a great fight.
Madrimov only has 11 professional fight's, but he's already a belt holder at 154, and he had over 400 amateur fight's.
