We've seen him box. He isn't special in the slightest.

That's your assessment but in reality the opinion of pro boxers and people with experience in the industry is more valid.
As far as I'm concerned, Jared could have a very bright future in the game if he stays away from trouble. He seems very susceptible to bad habits and influences but the kid definitely has talent. I don't know how anyone who knows boxing wouldn't be able to see that. Whether he realizes his potential is yet to be seen.

When he was getting rocked and barely sc****d by a D level fighter in Charles Martin (who only had a few weeks notice, If I recall correctly), what exactly would you say was special about his performance?

So what if he was rocked? It was a step up in competition. And once again, your classification of Martin as a D level fighter is purely opinion and doesn't reflect what the average person in the pro game thinks.
Maybe you're not aware but it doesn't do much good knocking everyone out in a few rounds on your way up the rankings. Regardless of what you think of Martin, he was experienced and fought solid competition before facing Anderson.
Jared is still a prospect and a work in progress. He got through the adversity and won the fight didn't he? It was a learning experience for him. I don't know what you don't understand about that.
Bernard Hopkins lost his first fight. I guess that makes him a bum by your estimation.

Anderson is a hypejob. He sucks. His fundamentals are non-existent. His "power" is non-existent. He's being promoted because bob sees money.

I agree. I was ringside for his third pro fight and Anderson definitely has some skills. Does he have the chin to make it to the top? We shall see. I always think about Carl "the truth" Williams in these cases. His chin betrayed him although I still believe that he should have been champ. He got robbed against Larry Holmes!

That's all very nice. I took issue with him being called special. We've already seen that he's anything but. Special fighters don't sc**** by someone as limited as Martin.

And the only people hyping this kid up are Americans, who are desperate for a HW contender.

I couldn't care less what fighters have to say, by the way. Most of them are dumb as ****, which is why they get punched in the head for a living.
