Gus Johnson is one of the best commentators.

He does a lot on Showtime Boxing and I'm just watching some NFL and he is doing the Bengals/Ravens game, he's really good, great voice.

I don't know if he's the best or if he''ll at least be as good as Steve Albert but I loved his job at Froch-Taylor.

      I agree.

I'd like to see Gus Johnson replace Al Bernstein, who doesn't have the talent for it and is very biased.

Last night Bernstein sounded like a cheerleader for Mtagwa - he always favors one fighter over another, he's not able to be fair and objective.

Steve Albert was very good though.

You think so? I love Al Bernstein - has been awesome for the many years I've been listening. Knows his **** and has foresight.

He's pretty annoying, talks too much and knows nothing about boxing.

Gus isn't a boxing guy, and it really comes across as he broadcasts. I have no problem with him during NFL or college basketball games, but he's not good for boxing in my opinion. He's an MMA guy, and Showtime should only assign him to Strikeforce events, and give someone else a chance to fill Albert's shoes.

Why would he replace Bernstein? Johnson is a commentator, and Bernstein an analyst.

Johnson is improving, but atm I prefer Albert.

I like Bernstein, but I think Farhood is the best around.

I was probably a tad harsh, one thing I do like about him is when something is happening he gets you excited by how amped he gets, but nothing more drives me nuts when a guy is commentating boxing and he's saying things that are incorrect.
