  • Amateur Nathan Lugo turning pro

I may be out of the loop on this kid, saw a social media post about him saying his ammy record is 252-9.. with 40 KOs (most by any US ammy since 2014 according to the post) Boxrec has his ammy record at 58-8 (13 KOs) though they don’t track every single ammy fight to a tee.

25x national champion , 2x international gold medalist
& won the 2024 olympic trials @80kgs back in December

    19 years old & debuting @ 168 on OTX6 on April 19th against 1-1 Robert Lartigue

Anyone seen or heard of him?

Thought Iriarte who just got signed at GPB already had a good amateur record, didn't know about this guy, nice find. Wonder if there is anything to watch to get an idea of how he performs.

Checking his instagram, apparently he wanted to attend the Paris 2024 Olympics, wonder if he still will.

He also has 40 Knockouts in the amateurs showcasing his power and he has slimmed down a lot compared to the fights shown in youtube, he apparently contended at Cruiserweight (176lbs in the amateurs.) Not so sure he compete at light heavyweight now as he stands at 5'10.

Hey edpboxing, where did you find info on this guy? I checked the father's tiktok site I noticed that:

-Nathan has a brother called Elijah Lugo with 222 wins in amateur fights and also is a 25 national champion at 17 years old. Contends at a division below.

-Nathan beat Elijah Garcia from Middleweight X2 and the heavyweight prospect Lorenzo Medina aswell. He dominated the latter and almost stopped him.

-The father is a Olympic trainer with a short criminal background.

-The father uploads too many videos of his sons beating up grown men, some are not actually fighters and there are some pros (at least three that I noticed, with two stated to have records of 5-0 and 10-0), didn't like how the upcomers took it too far in sparring though.
