Its not uncommon for someone to go down in sparring. The only thing that would make manny less of a threat would be all the distractions he has had around this fight. Freddie has continuously spoke about manny needing to focus on camp and being disappointed he didnt take his camp out of the Phillipines. Also just recently they have experienced a natural disaster over there and im sure it has gotten manny's attention because of how much he loves his country. Manny better hope that Teddy Atlas is right and that Cotto is "damaged goods" or else manny's legend may come crumbling down...

If one of them does get KO'd or KD in sparring they may be able to fix some things for the fight, but they are also at a late stage in their career where they probably won't be able to fix much.
