If Floyd doesn't fight the winner of pac/cotto

he will be truly a coward. there would be no excuse as to why he wouldn't fight one of these guys. he can't use the "he doesnt bring enough to the table" excuse because both pac and cotto can generate a good crowd. If pac wins it definitely solidify his status further as the best fighter in world. he would do what floyd didn't and was afraid to do and that should lure floyd into the fight just to see who's better. and it would definitely be a good match. but the only problem would be the money issue. both fighers would have to swallow their pride and agree to the 50 50 split.

Cotto. he has proved on more than one occasion that he is the best welterweight in the division right now. with wins over shane mosley and zab judah he shows that he is not some brawler who relies on just his power to win. he actually has some good boxing skill and can use his boxer smarts to get things accomplished. yes he lost to margarito but he was a tough opponent and also theres a chance he could've had that illegal plaster in his gloves at the time of the fight. I also don't get why people criticize him so much over the clottey fight. he suffered a bad cut and clottey is not a pushover either. he has good boxing skill as well and good defense. he would give any welterweight problems in the ring. but back to his fight pacquaio and a potential fight with mayweather.

alot of people are giving pacquaio a chance because of his speed. that is a good tool for him because i doubt he will hurt cotto seriously. but people forget that cotto can cut down the ring and nullify speed. also pacquaio being a southpaw should not be an issue because judah was a southpaw as well and cotto handled it with a knockout. now judah is no pacquaio but he is still a southpaw with some power and can be dangerous if he's focused enough. so if cotto wins he will be considered the best because he beat the best in pacquiao. floyd should fight him because of that. if he doesnt it will be bull****. reason being is that he said he chose marquez over pacquaio because he beat him twice and was the best fighter. shouldn't that same standard apply if cotto was to win?

I'm just curious as to what excuse floyd will make if he doesn't fight one of these guys because so far the reasons that he had in the past will not make sense. we'll just have to wait and see. floyd is a great fighter but he needs to stop being obessessed with keeping his "0" and do what other ATG's has done, and thats step up to the plate and take on all comers. floyd nuthuggers can say all they want but he hasnt done that throughout his whole career.

well if cotto beats pac, then pac should move down to p4p#2 or maybe 3, so that would put floyd at p4p#1. so floyd wont fight no-one that might defeat him.

if pac wins, then floyd might fight him, i dont think the fight will happen cuz floyd will want 60/40 and pac would want 60/40. if floyd starts doing that pac should back out and fight marquez, then floyd will have to fight a true WW.

Either way i dont see floyd fighting either of them.

He'll definitely take on the winner...as long as it's Pacman. If Cotto wins it, he'll be much more hesitant (after all, Cotto is actually the same size as Floyd), but might go ahead with it. If he doesn't, I wouldn't mind seeing a Cotto/Mosley rematch (I think Shane will win a rematch), and then Floyd could take on the winner......yeah, I know, never happen.

If Pacman doesn't beat Cotto, I predict Floyd will fight Manny anyway.

If Pac wins, Floyd should target him first since Pac is ready to leave boxing. If Cotto wins, yeah, then he can go for Shane first.

If Shane was offered Pac or Floyd, he would go for the biggest purse, so Floyd should be entitled to that as well.

What the fk, this guys come up how many divisions in the last year or 2.....yet floyds been at WW for 4 years and had no1 worth fighting, and he would move to number 1? Pac is taking on Arguably the best WW (or 2nd best) .... Dont have to high expectations, dont follow the hype

Either the winner of that fight or Mosley. Maybe a MW. Other than that, you won't find me defending him AT ALL. That is a TRUE ***** move period. We will see what he does though. He knows who everyone wants him to fight, I think he wants to fight the winner of that bout as well.

I agree. At least he should fight the winner of Pac/Cotto and Shane before the year is over. He is bound to have 2 fights next year and those should be the tow plain and simple. Unless he has an immediate rematch which I don't see happening.
