LAS VEGAS - Stephen Espinoza takes a seat in a comparatively quiet area in the fight week media center in Las Vegas, leans in, and starts talking about some of the biggest issues and talking points in the sport, and what life is like in the eye of a social-media storm. The former VP of Showtime now has a consultancy role with Premier Boxing Champions and is specifically working on helping set up the TV production of this weekend's bill at the T-Mobile in Vegas, headlined by Tim Tszyu and Sebastian Fundora. In recent weeks the doom-mongers have been out in force, although perhaps operating in a social-media silo, and when Espinoza is asked about that critique, which can feel intense, he acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

I wish them the best, Amazon and others broadcasting boxing.

To fans, no real difference, except we notice not hearing the likes of Lampley, Merchant and Kellerman anymore.

I think Al Bernstein still gets gigs. I don't like his politics, but his boxing knowledge is pretty good.

Any answer as to why Espinoza was unable to make Jaron Ennis active? So silly to me when some fans say "it's because he's not a PBC fighter." So silly. Are they saying Spinoza was he a mere puppy of Haymon and was powerless?

Espinoza in one of his recent interviews say there's not a PBC fight on Showtime that is not funded by Showtime. Apparently, he's in negotiations with Amazon explaining how the PBC deal should be.

Yea I think Mr Liondw has it totally backwards. It was Jim Lampley and Merchant that brought their awful political commentary to HBO when all we wanted to see was a fight. Pauike did the same at Showtime and got D bootz!

“ Some are actively rooting for the partnership to fail.“

Because they want pbc to fail, because they hate Al Haymon. These intense pbc haters come from cultures where black men are not supposed to rise to the top, it should always be someone who is white or someone perceived as having close proximity to whiteness. Al Haymon for these people is something to fear, successful, Ivy League educated, connected, and with a toolbox so well supplied that he knows all the angles…and what’s worse, he moves in silence. Those who want desperately to watch him and see what he is up to don’t have access to him since he doesnt bother with the media. This is just too much for people raised by uneducated and underexposed peoples who love a life that must conform with what the grandparents and great grandparents passed down. Until he is out of boxing a sizeable number of race fans will lament the very day he is the power broker of American boxing…even if they themselves don’t live in, never been to, or otherwise don’t have anything to do with the usa

Embarrassing Propaganda piece for PBC by BoxingScene, showing Espinoza and his master Haymon as some sort of saviour while being negative about Turki Alalshikh events.
