Just watched the on-demand replay. Never seen Pierce before, but he definitely has some skill/talent. The lesson to take away from this fight: always respect your opponent. Pierce clearly had the athleticism advantage, but he was getting reckless. Villanueva had enough experience to capitalize and had Pierce on bambi legs. What I liked about Pierce was that he didn't suddenly become too careful after getting hurt. He came out in round 3 still offensively minded, but now he respected Villanueva.
