Breadman’s column is always interesting but he needs to tone down the defensive, emotional and borderline nasty reactions whenever he’s challenged by readers. It’s a bad look. Also instead of giving us the hysterical melodramatic answer to the guy asking about Alicia and Broner, why not simply say, “No comment on your first question” and move on?

Agreed, I felt it was a weird comment in the last mail bag, and I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought it.

He is ignoring the fact that McBride was fighting actual boxers.

Kinda wish Mikey Garcia should have took his chances against Lomachenko or Gervonta Davis (Or anyone top fighter available in his division). He didn't have a bad career necessarily, but he lacks a marque win over a Great fighter. Winning in four divisions is not an easy feat and he beat consistent solid good competition like Salido (41-11-2,1 NC), Juan Manuel Lopez (33-2), Martinez (30-1-2), Zlaticanin (22-0), Broner (33-2. 1 NC), Lipinets (13-0), Easter Jr (21-0) and Vargas (29-2-2). He didn't sweep the divisions like Naoya Inoue is doing. Not that it's easy thing, just that he is taking on the hardest challenges.

But to say his career was on par with the greatest fighters in ANY division he fought is difficult to imagine. He might be a HOF being a former P4P fighter due to skill and four division Champion, he is greater than let's say Vaquero Navarrete and Shakur Stevenson (so far) in terms of achievements. But he could had achieved more he taken risks even if he had more losses. (Not like the beating he took by fighting a big ass Spence at WW)

He had phenomenal skills and good power. Perhaps only Loma could possibly beaten him if he had stayed in 135-140.

(Video by The Modern Martial Artist)

Also about Zepeda, what he did to Maxi Hugues was impressive, but I am still not sure how good he is until he fights another top 5 fighter in any sanctioning body. But there aren't exactly any viable options so might have too fight a title holder, it's time to sink or swim.

How is lopez a solid win if he was past it?
Mickey Garcia beating broner wasn't a "BIG" win. Broner hadn't made 140 in years.
Easter had gift wins against shafikov and Fortuna so mickey beating him wasn't that impressive.
Mickey lost bad to spencerina but its a reflection on Spencer than mickey. How tf your a bigger guy and decision a fat lightweight?

Mickey is not an excellent fighter with an excellent career. A HOF that's a given not that hard honestly.

Also booty ennis is trash. Your dumb "he needs a platform" excuse is stupid af. He had one in showtime and they didn't make him priority despite it being his lifeline to avoid Crawford when blk prim3 offered the fight.

Man boxingscene really brought bumman for this shlt?
