    Cosign.

I've just had this feeling that the trilogy really ruined both he and Rafa, and it sounds like that may be the case here if this Priolo guy was fucking his face up and giving him troubles.

    He's lost his past 6, hasn't he?

The Izzy of old would've destroyed that dude inside of 5.

Didn't HBO promise John a March BAD date? That'd be a good fight.

Then against Vazquez might need to fight another tune up first (Martin Castillo)

I think John would end this guy's career. Another tune up is necessary for both Vasquez and Marquez cuz Marquez looked like **** in his.

I think Vasquez's career is coming to a close unfortunately. It's sad to say, because at his best, he was a hell of a fighter but that ring rust and battle tear has caught up with him. I don't even think that Vasquez could beat Nonito Donaire right now as it stands. And I mention Donaire because I know Vasquez called him out a couple days ago. Any of these up and coming fighters he needs to stay away from including Mario Santiago and even Abner Mares. I think he's still got a chance to beat Juan Ma though. Lol.

I think everybody is being too quick to write Vasquez off. Izzy had been out of the ring almost 2 years and you could see by the time his rhythm came back, the result was a foregone conclusion. I think he might need one more tune up before a Chris John-type fight but I am not going to write him off as damaged goods just yet...

I don't want to be part of the "He's shot! he's shot!" brigade....but even with a 19 month layoff, Izzy shouldn't really have been dragged into a close war with a guy who's lost his past 6. You can maybe put some of the general rust down to the layoff, but after a few shaky rounds Izzy should have been able to put the foot on the gas and get this guy out of there, the fact that he wasn't able to and had to score a tough KO victory with relatively even scores on the cards is worrying.

All them wars he been in are taking their toll...
Mayweather was gone longer but he never been in wars like Izzy has.
19 months can be a long ass time for a worn out fighter.
I do hope we get to see a couple more good fights out of Izzy before he hangs em up.

1 more tune up will decide his future tho I think. Even with a win If his eye gets all ****ed up again I think he should call it quits.

I'd like to see him fight a top 10 before a title shot but as long as he gets another tune up.

I been following Vazquez since his fights with Larios and have seen him in some exciting fights, but I just saw some pictures of his last fight and he looked like he was in there with some elite top 5 fighter. Then, I find out that his comeback opponent lost his last seven fights, six of them by knockout. I hope I'm wrong but he seems to either need a few more fights to get back to speed or he has taken way too much damage and it's finally catching up. As of right now, I think he would lose to Chris John.
