It wasn't a good fight for JuanMa but his chin was tested. Much like the Donaire-Concepcion fight. He was so wobbly during the last 3 minutes and still made it. Definitely making a GIF for the wobbly JuanMa

I really didn't think he was going to clinch, but he is lucky he did since he would have gotten KTFO. Dude has a chin though!!!

Juanma clearly won in my eyes, but Mtagwa was a much needed reality check. He needs to realize some people can take his punch and come right back at him. I think it was a good learning experience for him and he'll be better for it. I want the Caballero fight, but Arum seemed to dismiss the idea at the post-fight interview.

Was a great fight, I ama Juanma believer, but that really deflated the balloon for me. No way a supposed elite should almost get Koed and be out on his feet vs a journeyman.

I agree...but like Juanma said though sometimes these type of fighters (Journeymen or one's with a lot of losses) come out knowing that they have nothing to loose. Mtagwa wanted this fight...

Hopefully he doesn't dismiss it...He needs to fight Cab or give Mtagwa a rematch before fighting anyone else.

If he learns from this it will be a good thing. If he keeps his macho **** up, than **** him.
How is Juanma going to react to that? He called the dude a bum and I am sure he was expecting to beat the **** out of the guy. Juanma is a confident guy it will be interesting to see if he lets this get to him or if he takes it in a good way like he should.

It was a great fight but what happend with juanma is that he did not fight a smart fight, he fought mtwaga's fight and he risked getting KO'ed.
How many uppercuts did juanma throw? I don't recall any. Consistent body attack by juanma early and often? not really. not keeping his guard up. all those are mistakes that against a more accurate puncher would have juanma in big trouble.

besides the win the only positive is that we know juanma has a good chin, like D-om said before.

one last thing, maybe juanma can't make 122 anymore and that might account for his weakening punches half way through the fight.

You said it all right there. Juanma is a great fighter. Is he elite? Hellz no! Can he beat elite fighters...I think so BUT with some work in those areas mentioned!
