One good fight gets him free reign at any title shot. I don't go for that.
He did well but he lost, maybe his stock is raised but hell no he shouldn't fight for a title.

There's guys more deserving than him.

Let him get a victory against someone worth a crap then we can figure if he deserves a shot.

I don't man Mtwaga has had 2 candidates for FOTY in 2yrs in a row. I mean when Juanma and Caba move up at 126 There would be 3 vacant titles. He could fight Dunne or Escalante for a vacant belt. He deserves a title match as much as they do.

I guess we differ in opinion. I always think you have to win first to get a shot at a belt a second time.

There is probably a handful of guys that are more qualified,but tell me if any of them is as exciting,and he has also paid his due. He Ko'ed Villa,which at the time was a good looking prospect. He came close to beating Juanma and gave him his toughest challenge. More so than Penalosa(still ranked in the top 10 in the division),Lontchi (who was undefeated and was ranked top 10 or 12 in the division ), and better than former champion Ponce de Leon. Mtwaga,although lacking in skill,have shown that he belongs.

Ok I agree with what you saying. But, after Caba and Juanma go up to 126. Who else is there at 126 that deserves title shots? There would be 3 vacant titles. Which only 6 fighters could fight for those titles. 2 fighters fight for each title. Are you saying one of those 6 can not be Mtwaga? What other 6 fighters would deserve a title shot more than Mtwaga. Escalante might be one. You say Dunne is out. Then what other 5 fighters could fight for those vacant titles?

If the scenario you say that there would be 3 vacant titles, I would say anyone ranked in the top 10 of those organizations that has won recently.
If Mtagwa could beat one top 10 guy then yeah he could fight one of them for a belt after.

Exactly and that is all I am saying. I mean when Caba and Juanma leave. That division would suck. Until the likes of Mares, Hasewaga, and Agbeko. Move up to 122

I think Gamboa will fight him, and I think Gamboa would expose of him much easier then what Juanma did.
