I liked Carl Froch as a fighter. He always gave it his all. I have no doubt that time if he had kept running that particular day that he would have torned his ACL. That was his body's way of talking to him. He listened to his body and never came back to box again.

As far as I remember Froch put up a poll on his FB page who he should meet next and GGG won. But he later said in an interview that he wouldn’t fight that monster (can’t remember the exact words). It was a time where the GGG hype was at a high point, and I do believe Frochs style was a bad match up with GGG. And I think he knew it too.

I fondly remember Froch for his heart and super condition. Not the most talented but he really got the most of what he got with immense willpower. Had a couple of really good fights with my country man Kessler and I’ll never forget the demolishing of Bute who didn’t participate in super six

Carl wanted a big PPV fight in Vegas to tick it off his list. That was the only motivating factor to do one more. Chavez was the only one who could provide that at the time. Chavez agreed to the fight, then ran from it leaving Froch with nothing left to keep him in the game. He doesn't mention it here, but Chavez refused the fight which is why Froch didn't continue training and looking for another fight.
