He was also inactive for 11 months, which could've made the weight-cut worse. I think he's only entertaining a stay at 126 for the 5 vs. 5 card. If Ball wins, he'll most likely stay and start cutting weight asap. if Vargas wins, he'll move up.
The Boy is 24, going into his man strength! He knows it's time to move up! He can't stop his growth!

He can always use the weight as an excuse if he looks bad against Ball. Ford may potentially get close to a 7-figure purse against Ball, so it's understandable why he'll try 126 again. Again, why would Roach prioritize him if he can face Foster in a unification?

I understand that Roach might not want it, but Ford should be looking that way, not at 126. I hate when cats use the weight as an excuse AFTER THE LOSS! They signed on the line, so just take the L like a man!

The fighter doesn't have to verbally complain, sometimes it's pretty obvious that weight-cutting affected a fighter's performance. Weight-classes and weight-cutting are variables that we always take into account when we're making predictions. If Ford didn't have a nutritionist already, he should definitely hire one if he plans to extend his 126 run for a little longer.
