Thurman seems like a decent person but he's another example of US privilege in boxing. Look at the quote below, and yet despite inactivity here he is getting another payday in a high profile fight. Meanwhile, Stanionis' career is on hold, largely because he was forced to accommodate US fighters (primarily Spence).

The long stretches on the sidelines have been due to Thurman not having much success locking down desired opponents for the right paydays

Keith is an elite guy. But at age 35 and after a long inactive period, and going up to 154 for the 1st time against a younger, bigger, stronger Tim Tszyu is a brave decision, maybe not the wisest, though. Tszyu isn't just strong, he has qualities you don't see, like his work ethic, his character, and grit. He's a serious guy that shows improvement with each fight. Some say he's basic, but his timing and accuracy are world class, and he's obviously a good puncher. I see Keith using the ring and his experience, and having some good moments, but I see his body betraying him and him gassing in the middle of the fight and getting hurt, possibly stopped late

In his prime Keith would have had a chance , now , I think that Tszyu smokes him. Tim has too much of everything for an old inactive Thurman. Tim Tszyu is for real , he's the best at 154 , not Jermell.

A Tim Tszyu win! I gotta see it to believe it. @ +550 odds against Keith. I'm bettin on Keith Thurman. For every $100.00 you put up, you get $650.00 back. Rare odds against Keith indeed.
