    Mayweather is Good for Boxing.

While Manny might dislike some of Mayweather antics. In which several I don't feel please with.

Some how Mayweather is also good for boxing.
Face it, he brings none boxing fans to watch the sport even if it is just to see him lose. Or just to watch what else will he say wrong next just so we can have some of us point that out.
Two top professional athletes going at it is good, but its fighters like Mayorga, Mayweather, Camacho, Ali, Leonard etc. that bring a bigger interest into fights.

It doesn't mean their all doing it right, but boxing ain't right either. Two fighters going at it with the only purpose to beat the other guy up as much as possible in order to win. Its like a license to hurt someone else. Its one of the few sport you get paid to purposely hurt someone, but they get no charges against each other, even if the opponent dies. (no cheating involve though).

No sport sells as much as when there's a villain involve. Some are villains voluntarily, just to sell. Others are for real and some have it both ways.

But Villains only sell as long as someone believes they have an opportunity of losing, cause if you don't why bother seeing someone you don't like and you know will win? Just like in others sports people hate the Lakers and the Yanks (for different reasons), but will stay and watch if their going against a worthy team.

Mayweather might not be all good, but he ain't all bad either. JMO

Mayweather is great for boxing and himself in terms of PPV.

Whether he makes great fights or is cementing his resume is another story.

However there are many fighters that don't reach a guranteed ATG status because they didn;t fight all the best, but he still has a great resume that is better than almost any fighter today. The main issue is that he talks a game without fighting the best to prove he is better than any other fighrer alive or dead.

Mayweather may not be a ATG in the ring but no one can ever say he isnt one of the smartest people in the boxing business. He's mastered the art of marketing himself which has proven to payoff better than a his actual boxing talent. Mayweather has proven that if you get people to talk about you good or bad, you can turn that attention into cash.

Mayweather is the best at picking the right opponent to showcase his fighting style(cherrypicking). He's become the perfect villian because, there's a little truth to the saying that good guys finish last.

yeah, i would say that Mayweather is good for boxing. Boxing is full of critics, and if you're on top of course you're going to get the most criticism. Floyd knows what he's doing. He's gettin money, winning fights, on top. How can you hate on that? I'm not a Mayweather fan (meaning i wouldn't put him on my list), however i appreciate what he's doing for boxing.

The more money these "big shots" invest in boxing, they control more of boxing; then they can do more for boxing. It's the fat cat boxers (Mayweather, DLH, BHOP), not the promoters that need to gain control. The bookies, promoters, politicans, media, gangsters are the ones damaging boxing. Ironically, boxing wouldn't be boxing with out all that.

Gayweather is a cancer for boxing which at the moment is slowly dying to MMA.

Boxing is better off without the gayweathers.
