Hopkins can't fight Dawson before Jones ; Dawson is booked already with the Johnson rematch, and HBO is giving him 6 months off afterwards to recover.

There's no way Hopkins could fight him before Roy.

Same goes with Adamek ; he's tied up with Golota on the 24th.

That's why he needed a guy like Ornelas ; all the "names" are booked.

A rubbermatch is possible, I wouldn't rule it out if Hopkins beats Roy.

I think this is a pretty accurate statment from Mayweather. Hopkins jumped in the ring after Floyd had just returned from a 2 year layoff and told him to fight the best fighters in his division. If Hopkins wants to prove that hes the best light heavyweight, he give Dawson a shot the same way he wanted Mayweather to give Shane one.
