Berlanga dont have a Real Momentum but did has a Fan Base. I tell you that as a Puertorican. Obvious not a Tito or Cotto but has one

This fight did nothing for me in regards to Berlanga. I'm still stuck in the same place and for him to say he prepared months and months for this fight tells me he is far from championship level fights. Not mentally prepared; Pretty decent jab but he is still in love with his power and gets dirty when frustrated. IMO Canelo/Benavidez would get him out by the middle rounds if not earlier. Morrell, Plant, Pacheco, Munguia would give him lots of problems and all should be favored over him.

What drugs is Hearn taking? He is so desperate to land money fights for his druggie Benn and his underachiever Berlanga. Hearn’s new U.S. base is Caribe Royal hotel in Florida. He gets free rooms and meals for this fighters. The room where fights are held can’t hold 1000 people. The shows are low budget because DAZN has Hearn on a tight leach after Hearn has blown hundreds of millions of their money. Like Teo said, DAZN is losing so much money on the Hearn experiment so DAZN has renegotiated their Matchroom deal.

Berlanga just isn't on the same level talent wise with the top guys at 168. Benavidez , Morrell, Mbilli ,Plant ,Mungia , Pacheco, and Canelo all smoke him. I think that Ryder could beat him too.

We all know that Berlanga isn't Canelo's, ultimate challenge, that's just Eddie drumming up one of the last fights that Canelo has left in his long career.
Hearn know's that Canelo has aged, and he's slowing down from all of the wear, and tear that a 64 fight career have waged on his body, and brain cell's.
A lot of these promoter's, and fighter's, see Canelo as being ripe for the picking, and believe that he can lose in anyone of his next few fight's.
They want to cash in on the Canelo bonanza fight, before some else beat's them to the punch, and beat's Canelo dropping his stock in the boxing business.
Berlanga still need's to fight at least 2 or 3 rated fighter's, beat them by knockout if possible, which would go a long way in establishing his credibility.
            In his next fight's he has to fight rated fighter's like Munguia, # 4 Derevyanchenko, # 5 Mbilli, # 6 Plant, # 8 Andrade, # 9 Morrell, # 10 Shishkin, # 13 Pacheco, or the # 20th rated Hart.
His last two opponent's # 61 Quigley, and # 26 McCrory, although moving him in the right direction just aren't cutting it with the fan's.
Because he rated # 11, before beating McCrory, now he's been moved up to # 7, in the division. He has to face fighter's who are rated near his ranking, the fan's demand it!
No he's not ready for Canelo, he still need's to prove himself, and if he's able to do that by winning against 2 or 3 more rated fighter's.
He'll then be better prepared, and have actually earned a shot at the title no matter who's the champion at the time.
More importantly he won't be overwhelmed when it's time to fight for the title, and then he'll be able to fight fire with fire, but he has to go through the crucible first!

Berlanga is delusional if he thinks he earned a fight with Canelo after this fight. I am boricua but he still needs a lot improvement. He needs to beat Mungia, Caleb Plant and Jermal Charlo to even be considered.

Good post. I'm all for the PR and Mexico rivalry but not like this. He is trying to cut the line as if he is entitled or more deserving than others. He should be hungry to prove he is the best or one of the best by calling out and fighting any of those fighters you mentioned. Instead, he is trying to still run with that "16KO streak" fame he got and its Canelo this, Canelo that. I won't be surprised if he cashes out and call it quits after the Canelo fight.

That's not correct, The Caribe Royal Resort, in Orlando Florida has a seating capacity of 4,400, and 5,537 reviews with a rating of 4 stars!
I looked it up on their web site, because "the where room where fights are held can't even hold 1,000 people" just didn't sound right to me.
Eddie Hearn did blow millions of dollars of DAZN's money, and a lot of those millions were wasted on signing Canelo, in the belief that they would turn a profit on the rematch between Canelo vs GGG.
Which Canelo reneged on, costing financial losses to DAZN in the million's, and Canelo even got out of the contract, causing a huge rift between GBP, Matchroom, and DAZN.
No one should ever quote Teofimo Jr., who has said some of the craziest things, and is a pathological liar. Do you remember when he was hyping up Trilla TV?
According to Teo they were going to take over the boxing industry, they lost millions on Teo, and aren't working with him any longer.

Canelo stops Berlanga within 6 rounds, maybe within 3. His chin is fragile just like Amir Khan just at a higher weight. Rather see Canelo against Bivol again, Benavidez, or Beterbiev. But Canelo wants none of those 3. Too much of a risk to his legacy at this stage of his career. Expect Jermall Charlo in May and then Berlanga IF he can get another knockout win.
