Mayweather: "Mosley, a Jealous Former Steroid User"

Floyd Mayweather Jr. has said a few times that there is nothing to gain by taking a fight with Shane Mosley, but that hasn't stopped him from dishing out some more verbal abuse in Shane's direction. During a recent interview with CBS Sports, Mayweather really took aim at Mosley by calling him a jealous fighter who may still be using steroids. [details]

Watch this video interview with Floyd Mayweather Jr. courtesy of CBS sports as the ‘Money’ man sat down with Jason Horowitz this week to discuss Manny Pacquiao, Shane Mosley and much more!

Floyd Mayweather Jr.: “In terms of my next fight there are a lot of names out there. Some people say Manny Pacquiao, some say Miguel Cotto… some say Shane Mosley… I don’t know what the future holds for Floyd Mayweather. We take it one day at a time. It’s definitely something I’ll talk over with my team and my advisers and we’ll see what the best move for Floyd Mayweather is. Manny Pacquiao is a great fighter and I take nothing away from him… I take pride in taking care of business outside of the ring, but once I’m in the squared circle I’m bar none the best fighter. Hands down.”

“I think Shane Mosley is a guy who’s 38 years old with five losses and is extremely desperate. He’s a former steroid user and could still be using. I think he’s a guy who’s jealous of my success. He’s jealous that he fought at the Staples Center and did 1.5 million and I’m a guy – who in a single fight – just did 70 million and counting.”
LOL hes not jealous of the success factor he just wants to be claimed the best. He trying to prove to the media (who has chosen Mayweather to put on the spotlight) that Mayweather is a fraud by fighting nothing but bums and blown up fighters

He is jealous, Mosley has been looking for the big money fights Mayweather gets his entire career yet always seems to screw it up. Now he's looking for that last big one and wants Mayweather.

Unfortunately, because of the success he had PPV wise against Marquez, Floyd may not feel that way. He may have seen the big numbers fighting an illegitimate opponent with a name like Marquez and thought " I won't have to fight any real threats, I can make money off easy fights."

And he may be right. Hopefully he cares about boxing fans' opinion of him more than that.

thats true but i dont see HBO or goldenboy or whoever paying him another 15 million unless its against mosley or the winner of pac/cotto. there arent any other big name opponents at or around 147 that could make floyd that type of money. if he wants the the big payday then those are his only 2 options, at least i hope

funny how floyd was real humble face to face with shane. why didn't he say all this **** to the man face? why come out with a hitlist with the mans name on it if you not gon fight him? why fight a lil man when he calls you out of retirement but ***** up when a same size man calls you out?
