Eddie Chambers Finds Comfort In Patience

By Jake Donovan - His summer drubbing of heavily favored Alex Dimitrenko instantly placed “Fast” Eddie Chambers on the fast track towards a title shot.

It was a win that allowed his career to come full circle; 17 months prior saw a disappointing performance against Alex Povetkin cost him a mandatory shot at Wladimir Klitschko. The upset over Dimitrenko this past Independence Day put the Philly contender right back to the head of the line for a crack at the best heavyweight in the world. [details]

    Nice write up.

Eddie is all class, and obviously has skill and talent to go along with it.

I'm very proud of him, and I'll be supporting him full blast when he faces Wladimir next year, just as I have in the past ; it should be a great fight.

      "FAST" Eddie...........

The problem I have with Fast Eddie is that in the one time I've sen him fight, he cartainly wasn't fast. Isn't he nicknamed "Fast" Eddie after the original Eddie, who, I think was a musician or a public entertainer of some sort.

In the same way that Mayweather is nicknamed "Pretty Boy", not because he's handsome, which he certainly is NOT, but after the bank holdup gangster of the 1930's Pretty Boy Floyd.

          Nice article!

I hope Wladimir recovers soon and comes back as strong as he was in his last performance.

I still think Eddie would be a beast at CW, but will be just "good" HW...

He also finds comfort in the fact that he can knock down big ukranians. Fast Eddie is our last hope for an american heavyweight champion. GO EDDIE!!!
