No shade on Canelo, but as great as all of his accomplishments have been, his biggest threat at the moment has been his mandatory for 2 years and is always dismissive of questions in regards to Benavidez. Don't believe Canelo is ducking anybody bc it's all business for him and he has the power to do whatever he wants, but he definitely knows Benavidez is something far different than all those great fighters he's faced. There is no denying that this is THE fight the boxing world wants.

The problem here as that Reynoso has extended beyond just a trainer and is the man who tells canelo what fights to take and which ones to decline. He can pretend as if it isn’t a blatant duck, and while that may work with the painfully limited intelligence Canelo fans, those who know boxing see through his BS. Benavidez is a bigger threat than he’s ever had in his career. He’s younger than canelo, he’s bigger than canelo, he’s stronger than canelo, is more hungry than canelo and has more effective aggression/ stamina than canelo. They don’t want to risk what Benavidez brings and are ducking. Anyone that argues otherwise is deluded.

It's pretty hard to conclude anything else when it's the biggest fight available to Canelo and he could make it happen with the click of his fingers.

Reynoso exposes the BS. So benevidez blatantly lied about the 45 million dollar offer. This fight gonna happen eventually. Neither guy will take a risky fight inbetween. If we’re honest..benevidez is actually just as risk averse as canelo he should be fighting morrel Jr they’ve called him out several times and also has a belt in the division. Instead he goes to fight gvozdyz? Dude is 40 and has looked like a shell of his former self since he’s been back fighting overmatched opponents. Canelo might be a cherry picker but at least he got some big names on his resume benevidez”s best opponent isn’t even one of canelos top 5 wins. The bad is blood is building. This will be a huge fight when it goes down. Maybe Mexican independence this year or cinqo de mayo 2025 but this fight will happen
