Yeah NY has hardcore boxing fans but regardless its still dumb to have a californian mexican vs a californian black in NYC. This is a westcoast fight through and through. Staples Center, MGM, Mandalay bay, etc

I guess. Kind of like a lesser version of Oscar vs Mosley.

But real talk doeeee the next few months should separate the real from the fake when it comes to PPV stars. The only boxers who were put on PPV over the last 5 years who we considered stars were Wilder, Canelo, Earl, Tank, Ryan and Bud. Wilder could've been the king but his losses against Fury knocked him out of the picture. Canelo is the current king. Spence vs Bud had the adverse effect that PBC wanted and now Bud is A side over Spence. Because of Tank's KO of KingRy he is heir to the throne. Ryan still has an older Os AR fanbase despite his loss to Tank but he can't shyte the bed vs Devin or that may be it for him. 2024 is going to let us and the networks know who is king going forward. Hey you Brits you like that "heir to the throne" reference don't you? You funny talking dragon worshipping mother fuqers! Haha

Amazon, ESPN and Dazn are the only networks capable of an American boxing PPV event. Espn has no one to put on PPV. Dazn only has Ryan because Devin is not a MR fighter that's locked into long term contract and dazn must rely on Oscar to deliver that's why this is a GBP show. Amazon /PBC will try to exert their dominance with their first 3 PPV shows of the year involving Canelo Tank and Bud. Canelo will probably fight Jermall on May 4th but I'm sure Haymon (and the rest of us) wants David. Bud vs Spence ll will probably draw 500k and will produce the same result. Tank is the wild card that they have to get right because Ryan vs Devin isn't going to be anywhere near as successful as Tank vs Ryan so the opponent has to be solid. I have a sneaky su****ion it's going to be Tank vs Pacquiao (I know I know) but Amazon wants to have his first fight knock it out of the park and Pacquiao fans will buy anything anywhere anytime if he's included.

Devin vs Ryan no matter where it is I will be buying NOT STEALING the PPV but that's about all they have left to market to anyone who wants to spend 225$ a year on a boxing app that only has 12-15 shows a year with only about 3 or 4 shows involving American fighters. Espn might as well give it up. Amazon Prime better come correct. PBC has all the fighters and their non PPV shows need to be ****ers!
