I love MMA and UFC, but boxing will always be my favorite sport. Even these days where boxing is less of a sport and more of a business, there are still a lot of great boxers out there and many potentially great match ups.
Even though I am also a UFC fan, I can't stand Dana White's ego. He thinks he owns these fighters and unless you are a big name like Liddell, Rampage, or Brock, White will pay peanuts. White can criticize boxing all he wants, but the bottom line is that he is a business man who wants to slander the competition while claiming he is a fan of boxing. I can't wait to see the Pac-Cotto numbers destroy the Couture-Vera numbers. Nothing against Couture and Vera, but I just want to hear what Dana White has to say afterwards. I heard that fight will be free on ****e TV, but it won't matter. It's a shame because I really want to see that fight live, but how can that compete with Pac and Cotto.

Most of us here are boxing diehards ; we can't even stomach MMA.

Their striking is piss poor, their chins are even worse, and the wrestling aspect bores the **** out of us all.

I don't think you'll find many MMA fans in this area of the forums.

I'm assuming they were trying to censor the word "****", which is a racial slur against hispanics.

BTW, Dana White is an egomaniac who gives UFC a bad name. I understand many boxing fans don't like it, but I appreciate an alternative. Their striking is nothing compared to boxers, but I just love the dynamics of MMA. There are so many ways for a fight to end, but being a boxing a fan, I would rather see a knockout than a tapout.

Yeah, the censors around here are just ****ty. You can bypass it easily though if you want ; just make the first letter of whatever you want to type one color, and the rest default. Like Spike TV.

I can respect the fact that you like MMA ; I don't hate it or anything.

It's just not my bag.

I grew up watching guys like Jones and Hopkins do their thing, and there's nothing in combat that is more beautiful to my eyes than a well placed punch, or a technical counter. It's just beautiful, to me. And most MMA guys aren't that skilled with their fists.

I also just get tired of hearing Dana White disrespect this beautiful sport of ours time and time again.
