    Ryan Walsh has called for a shot at newly crowned British lightweight champion Sam Noakes. Walsh (28-4-2, 12 KO's) proudly reigned at the British featherweight champion for five years between 2015 and 2020. In March 2022 he leap frogged the super featherweight division and stepped straight up to 135lbs where he lost a decision to Maxi Hughes for the IBO title.

    Nothing in it for Noakes. This would be a voluntary & thus he wouldn't even get a notch towards winning Lonsdale belt outright!

      A defence of the British belt doesn't have to be a mandatory one for it to count towards the 3 needed to keep the belt outright. Voluntary defences count too.
