People are the ones who watch boxing. How many? The majority I'd say.

Froch and ggg are higher level than Beter

Froch won 4 rounds VS Ward

ggg won many rounds against Alvarez and scores higher on eye test than Beter

seeing their skills ggg is a more complete package than Beter

there will always be someone who believes in you when you’re a big puncher

see Deontay Wilder. He was limited and admitted it.

you get your d ****** as a puncher

We are left to speculate has he did not face anyone elite in his prime. The only thing we know is his pedigre is legit, he was moved from light heavy to heavyweight in the olympics and only lost to Usyk in the olympic tournament. If ward had to fight Usyk at heavyweights would he still have a gold medal? probably not.

We also know he beat most of these guys in longevity. Ward is his same age and was broken years ago. GGG was shot by 39, ditto for Froch long retired. All these guys that were supposed to be better.

If he finds a way to over come Bivol's significant hand and foot speed advantage then you better not still be calling him overrated or bringing up wilder's name in the same threads when wilder cant even do basic footwork, he cant even back up properly.

If he does that, he is top 3 p4p in my book.

He has many things to over come.

Indeed. Bivol must fight as he usually fight. Standing in Beterbiev`s pocket means getting KO`d.

It will have to look a lot like Usyk vs AJ. Beterbiev isnt a one shot KO artist, so any one punch is probably not ending the fight but Bivol has to keep the accumulation to a minimal. He has to move and box all night. Watching the opening rounds of Usky vs AJ 1, I was very impressed but worried what happens if Usyk tires, he is using a ton of energy moving and punching every second, well he managed to do it the entire fight and it was AJ who was more tired. I think we will know the first few rounds by the amount of punches Bivol is taking, they will have to be minimal. Guys in there with Beterbiev can look like they are doing fine and winning but just get broken down, even the short compact punches are hurting them. Obviously the ring size can give either guy an advantage depending if its unusually small or large.

If this is the ONLY boxing era you have experienced, then? You will believe that fighters such as Alvarez, Bivol and Beterbiev are super all-time great fighters skill for skill 'Because they are only reference point which you have, along with all the other great fighters from this boxing era'.

But if you have in-depth knowledge of past boxing era's, then? You will most likely not be so quick to get carried away with the 'What is hot right now narrative, or movements which happen in all sports'.

Note: Beterbiev clearly a great fighter 'And one of the greatest fighters of this era'. But on a all-time greatness scale? Skill for skill, you can also clearly see that technically he is predominately a basic, straight up and down fighter who has mastered the fundamentals of the game. Those attributes combined with great durability, power and the ability to not make a high frequency of unforced errors 'Is why he is a great fighter'.

Beterbiev is not overrated when you compare him to fighters of this era, but when we start to compare such a fighter to past era's 'Then your perception of his skills and abilities will alter, because you have witnessed and analysed more genuine greatness' etc.
