I can’t stand Ryan Garcia but I have to admit, he’s great for boxing.

The kid brings a huge audience also, he could easily be way more selective with his opposition.
He’s great for teenage girls with crushes. Anyone saying otherwise is a teenage girl.

He could’ve pushed for a much easier fight. Rolly for example. Haney isn’t a draw like Tank either, the risk vs reward isn’t in Garcia’s favour IMO.

Actions > Words man. He could’ve sat out and waited for Rolly, instead he’s fighting arguably the #1 guy in the division.

I'm hoping Haney pulls a Floyd v Corrales on the guy.
do you see those so-called "more credible" fighters stepping up? Because I definitely dont.

But I DO see Ryan stepping up......

No, but that doesn't make a guy not ranked in the top 10 by the TBRB "stepping up" worthy of praise. What are we praising him for? Risking his looks and social media following? He needs this fight.

He did push for Rolly and Rolly moved on to fight Pitbull instead. Haney isn't a big draw but after Tank and Ryan he's probably the third biggest of the bunch. This is probably the second most lucrative fight Ryan could make after Tank.

Ryan is in a position where everyone wants to fight him, he’s the cash cow and he’s beatable. I think he could’ve chosen much easier opponents than Tank and Haney. I don’t like the kid but I respect his willingness to fight the top guys.

So I get why fans dislike Ryan, hes gotten where hes at "too easy" to some ppl, but at the end of the day he was a intelligent outlier with building his brand & image, like more boxers should be doing to up their Q score, & he still gots to win the fights to get anywhere in boxing & outside of Tank he has.
Yes. He brings eyeballs for sure. He also has real amatuer pedigree. People forget that but that might be more Ryan's fault than anything lol.

                      He's making big money.

But he'll be a big underdog here won't he? I can't see him being that competitive.

Garcia highlights if anything how difficult it is to get the fights made but other top fighterswill all take him because he's probably beatable.

Reminds me a bit of Shawn Porter because really in what would have been a golden era of Welterweights he was the only one worth supporting because the other top dogs would fight him and Shawn was the best guy they would fight.

That's what it felt like anyway.
