Comments Thread For: Devin Haney, Ryan Garcia Reach Terms WBC Title Fight, To Headline April 20 DAZN PPV In Las Vegas

Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia have transformed years of talk into a budding superfight. BoxingScene.com has confirmed that a deal was reached for the pair of young stars to meet atop an April 20 DAZN pay-per-view event. Both sides acknowledged to Boxing Scene that advanced talks rapidly progressed to agreed terms, in line with breaking news reports from Daily Star's Chris McKenna and ESPN's Mike Coppinger of the bout's status.

These two sparred and Garcia's reach seemed to present a problem for Devin.

Either way if the fight goes off without hitches, it'll mean that Ryan will either have lost to both Tank and Haney, or he'll expose Haney.

Have to give credit to both for stepping up though even though Ryan is more about raw talent than actual skill.

Meanwhile, Teo is over there struggling with movers, Josh Taylor is incognito and Tank doesn't seem to want to fight. So

Credit to both fighters for making the fight.

They're very familiar with each other from the Amateur days.
But Haney has fought and beat the better opposition in the Pro's.

Although Haney's style isn't my cup of tea.
He's gotta be given credit for his belief in himself.

      Credit to Ryan too.

I know people like to shet on him ( some of it well deserved ).
But the kid isnt afraid to test himself.

Ryan has only ever struggled against power. He's never struggled against a pure boxer.

We're about to do a video about this fight. If it happens, it will tell us a lot about both guys and levels.

Easy fight for Haney. Props for Garcia to step up and fight Tank and Haney in a year, this could be a fight that pillow hands Haney gets a TKO stoppage due to Garcia pulling a Victor Ortiz and quitting on his stool. $80 worth though……DAZN PPV strikes yet again ehhh

Good that the fight came off with all the drama it had before. At least these guys are fighting instead of posturing and not getting it done.

Too many fighters looking for the best financial opportunity instead of securing themselves into a better spot for bigger opportunities.

The winner of this fight will rise on the top fighters in boxing.

I feel like Ryan would rather lose to Haney than to a lower profile fighter, which could happen if he works his way up the ladder to become a legitimate title challenger.

Teofimo is also willing to take risks. I'd like to see him fight the winner of this one.
