Teofimo Lopez produced one of the two most significant wins of his career in his last fight. The former unified lightweight champion's convincing victory over Josh Taylor on June 10 has re-established Lopez as one of the top 10 boxers in the sport, pound-for-pound, according to BoxingScene.com and The Ring magazine. Lopez is also listed by DraftKings sportsbook as a 7-1 favorite over Jamaine Ortiz entering their 12-round, 140-pound title fight Thursday night in Las Vegas.

Hmmm 7 to 1 odds. That seems a bit too much for me to believe. At least Lopez is talking sanely these days. May the best man win.

For a guy that doesn’t watch tape, he seems to really know what happened in Loma Ortiz fight.

This fight will more than likely go to the score cards. Not sure I'm all that excited for it, but what else you got going on, on a Thursday night? lol. Honestly, not too bad to have free fights last night on ProBoxTV and then tonight, more fights on ESPN. Almost brings us back to the golden years! ESPN fight nights!
