  • Vergil Ortiz Jr rumored to comeback in May.

According to an interview with Rick Mirigian (Ortiz's manager)

Looks like potentially, he could fight:

    -Josh Kelly (15-1-1)
    -Takeshi Inoue (22-2-2)
    -Charles Conwell (20-0)
    -James Metcalf (25-2)
    -Jesus Ramos Jr (20-1)

Honestly, I think a fight with Takeshi Inoue who fought both Jaime Munguia and Tim Tszyu might be interesting to gauge how good Vergil is, Takeshi is limited, but the guy is quite physically imposing/strong that he gave both Munguia and Tszyu problems, he hasn't been knocked out so far either.

But Charles Conwell could also be interesting considering he is a big puncher and has undefeated winning streak like Vergil.

Think Lawson only landed a weak jab at the beginning of the fight, Vergil mostly parried or avoided the rest.

According to Compubox, he landed four though.

Just glad he decided to return in the middle of the year so he can hypothetically fight a third time in october-september.

6 months between fights when the last fight wasn't even a fight. What a joke modern boxing is.

In the mean time, From August 87 - June 88, Tyson fought.

          Tucker
          Biggs
          Holmes
          Tubbs
          Spinks

I like that he needs to stay very active. Conwel would be a perfect opponent.
