If boxing was a sport first I'd agree with you. Thing is boxing is a business first so your value isn't necessarily based on how good or deserving you are of a big fight. Its based on how many asses for seats you bring, how many eyes on the screen you bring & how many dollars from fans for PPVs you bring. And Conor has solid upside as a potential next opp for that reason.

Not to mention I think Eddie & Conor himself are looking to cashout with a big fight now with the lost time & seemingly declining power post-PED situation.

If boxing was a sport first I'd agree with you. Thing is boxing is a business first so your value isn't necessarily based on how good or deserving you are of a big fight. Its based on how many asses for seats you bring, how many eyes on the screen you bring & how many dollars from fans for PPVs you bring. And Conor has solid upside as a potential next opp for that reason.

C’mon let’s be realistic ; this ain’t the first time or the last that Tank pulls a stunt like this one if he were to go through with it

Honestly idk that Conor needs to do much work vs Tank. I think UK fans will show up for Tank & more UK fans will show up cuz a UK bad mfers son is fighting him. UK audiences are definitely loyal to a fault one could argue.

And look I got near 0 interest in this fight & I hate how Team Tank moves business-wise 90% of the time, but I can't think of many Tank opp fights that do as good at the gate as this one. I'd rather see Teo, Shakur or Devin across the ring from Tank, but none of those guys are doing great numbers. Teo is always bragging about his sh^t & hes probably the biggest draw of those 3 but idk that hes bringing more fans than Conor in the UK.

This, like most sh^t Tank does, is business over the sport. And to some extent being objective, aka not a fan thinking about it, it makes sense. Can't eat or pay the bills with legacy as they say.
